HMK R175 – EXTERIOR STONE CLEANER – acid based
• Special cleaner for all acid tolerant natural and artificial stone including polished granite.

HMK® R175 is a special concentrated acid based cleaner that removes cement film, lime scale, mortar residue, rust stains and heavy duty construction dirt from all acid tolerant natural and artificial stone surfaces. The special rust-preventing additives in HMK® R175 make it especially suitable for cleaning rust susceptible hard stones, including those with polished finishes. For exterior use only.
HMK® R175 is especially good for cleaning and maintaining granites with a high iron content as the special ingredients restrict development of rust.
Note: For interiors, and when fumes are a concern, use the milder HMK® R169 Stone Cleaner – special.
Instructions: Ensure all adjacent surfaces are protected against spills. Always mix solution where spills can do no damage. Work on manageable areas at a time. Before application wet the surface to be treated and apply
HMK® R175, diluted 1:2 to 1:15 depending on the level of contamination, with a scrubbing brush, stiff brush or a suitable pad. Work into the surface and leave for a short time but do not allow to dry. Scrub the area again and remove the dirty liquid. Afterwards clean the area thoroughly using HMK® R155 Intensive Cleaner – acid free diluted with clean water (about 1:20) and remove the dirty liquid. Afterwards rinse the area thoroughly with clean water.
Repeat the procedure in the case of very strong contamination
When using a wet vacuum we recommend that you add HMK® Z702 Defoamer to the water to regulate the amount of foam.
Important: Do not apply in direct sunlight. Acid-sensitive surfaces such as polished and honed marble, limestone, agglomerates and concrete products, plastics and certain metal surfaces will be damaged by contact with HMK® R175.
Coverage: About 10-50m²/litre.
Warning: Chemical product. Contains phosphoric and hydrochloric acids. Corrosive. Avoid eye/skin contact. If exposed, wash/flush with water, and seek medical attention. Reacts with metals. Follow appropriate safety precautions when dealing with corrosives. At all times wear suitable protective clothing (gloves, masks, boots, etc…). Keep out of the reach of children. Storage: Store in cool place. Keep lid tightly closed.
Testing: As HMK® R175 is highly acidic it is essential to always test the product in an inconspicuous area to evaluate suitability, coverage and performance. Do not use the product in temperatures below 12° and above 25°C.
